Hirshorn

So, I am completely in love with this blog I found from another local design student (wow, I just realized I can't really call myself that anymore) at the Corcoran -- the blog is called The House that Lars Built. At the blog, I found this amazing article on the Hirshorn Museum expansion proposal by Diller Scofidio + Renfro - known best for their water installations. As if the Hirshorn couldn't become more of a museum anomaly, its about too.

Oh, and did I mention that the bubble is inflatable -- amazing!

I loved the conceptI saw it - but I wonder if it will be as strong in person. You'll never see it from the angle of a model -will it just look like a random bubble out the side and you won't be able to see the roof from the ground angle?
